Tour Information
- Duration: Approximately 14 hours.
- Hiking Time: 3 hours in total (1 hour uphill to the viewpoint, including stops and breaks).
- Difficulty: Moderate.
- Altitude: 3,800 meters above sea level (12,460 feet). It is recommended to be acclimatized to the altitude before taking the tour.

Itinerary
- 07:00 AM: Hotel pick-up in Cusco. We will head northwest towards the rural community of Chonta, located in the Limatambo district.
- During the drive, you’ll enjoy beautiful landscapes of mountains and valleys as you make your way to this special place in the Andes.
- Stop at the Killarumiyoc Archaeological Site: This is a sacred Inca temple dedicated to the Mother Moon, who was considered both the sister and wife of the Sun God. You will have some time to explore the site and learn about its historical significance.
- We continue the excursion to the Huayronca Bridge, a picturesque location where we begin our ascent towards Chonta, a community nestled in the mountains forming a beautiful canyon.
- As we approach, you will be treated to a stunning panoramic view of forests, lakes, and rivers, leading us to the main highlight of the excursion: the condor viewpoint.
- Hike to the Chonta Viewpoint: After a moderate hike of approximately 1 hour, we will reach the viewpoint, where you can observe the famous Andean condor soaring in its natural habitat—one of the most majestic birds in the world.
- Box Lunch: Enjoy a delicious box lunch with an incredible view of the canyon and surrounding mountains. You will have time to relax, take photos, and soak in the moment.
- Afterward, we will return to the Chonta community and begin our return to Cusco, with an estimated arrival time around 7:00 PM.
