Sacred Valley Bike Tour – Mountain Bike Cusco Peru
Sacred Valley Bike Tour is an excellent half day tour from Cusco City to see two iconic sites, Maras Salt Terrace and Moray Farming Terraces.
Located at a high altitude of 3700 meters above sea level, Maras is located at a distance of 48.10 km across the road Cusco – Chinchero – Urubamba. The Salt terraces of Maras is a stunning complex on a hillside.
Moray Farming Terraces are among the most photographed sites in the valley. These Inca ruins played a significant role during Inca civilization.
They are circular terraces dug into the ground. These terraces have different levels and each has a different temperature. This helped Incas to determine the best weather condition needed to grow a crop. You will learn about the Inca farming method here.
