Day 1 – City Tour
You must be in the airport of Lima at least two hours before your flight leaves to Cusco, you only have to approach to the airline counter and display your ID for registration, the flight to Cusco lasts 1 hour. 10 minutes in Cusco “Archaeological Capital of America”, our staff will be waiting for you to take to the hotel, where you will find coca tea then you can rest a while .Around 13:30 hrs. We pick you up from your hotel to start visiting the following attractions with a professional guide
T he Koricancha Palace and Convent of Santo Sunday: Religious center known as “The Temple of the Sun” where you can admire the impressive engineering used in its construction
The Cathedral: Colonial religious monument of extraordinary artistic value.
Sacsayhuaman: Built at 3 Km From the city of Cusco, impressive stone fortress with an excellent architecture, Famous for its huge carved stones some of which are at 9 m / 30 feet high, with a weight of 350 tons.. This is where celebrates the Inti Raymi or Fiesta del Sol in June each year.
Qenqo: Ceremonial and ritual center, amphitheater where sacrifices were made.
Puca Pucara: An old (resting place) Tambo, surveillance along the paths of the Inca Empire.
Tambomachay: 7 km from the city of Cusco, ceremonial center of worship of water, traditionally known as the place where water rests..
On the way back to Cusco (18:30 hrs.)
Day 2 – Sacred Valley of the Incas
This tour starts around 08:30 hrs., picked up at your hotel, we have a guided tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, over the Vilcanota river, with a panoramic view of Pisac one ancient Incan city and a visit to the Inca market in this village, where we will have the opportunity to meet in a more narrow its people customs and get good bargains with craft and souvenir sellers, then head for Urubamba, traveling on the shores of Vilcanota River.
We will have lunch in a restaurant in the Sacred Valley. In the afternoon we visit the fortress and citadel of Ollantaytambo, built to guard the entrance to this part of the valley and protect it from the jungle habitants invasions. We will have the opportunity to walk through the narrow streets and have a clear understanding of how this military, religious and cultural center during the Inca Empire.
Finally we will go to Ollantaytambo train station to board the train that leaves at 16.36 hrs Aguas Calientes, arriving averaging 18.09 hrs. Overnight at hotel in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu).
Day 3 – Machu Picchu:
“The Lost City of the Incas” After getting up early and have breakfast, climb to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu and we can appreciate the spectacular sunrise this marvel. Optional: You can make the trip to Huayna Picchu this will take about 2 hours round trip (no guide). Then we will begin the tour guide to the citadel of Machu Picchu, for about 2 hours, visiting the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of Three Windows and various cemeteries around for more two hours. Then you will be given free time to stroll through the citadel. They will have all morning to Machu Picchu to take pictures and be in this mystical place. Then we descend by bus to Aguas Calientes in the afternoon and take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our staff will be waiting for you, for transportation by bus to Cusco.
Day 4 – Maras Moray- Salt Mines
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, we pick you up at 08:30 am in our mobility, to go to the town of Maras a colorful journey through villages and beautiful scenery so we can enjoy our trip, the first visit the town of Maras, from there you can appreciate the scope and the snowy peaks of the Vilcanota as “El Chicon” and “Veronica”. Fifth Day – Transfer to the airport:
Farewell and travel from Cusco to Lima After a good breakfast, you picked up from your hotel to take you to Cusco Airport, which is just minutes from downtown Cusco, we must be an hour earlier, at least, to arrange confirmation of flight after check in on the plane to fly and pay the airport tax, we said goodbye and you aboard the flight from Cusco to Lima.
