ECOLOGICAL ADVENTURE IN MANU 5 Days / 4 Nights
DESCRIPTION
Manu, one of the largest parks in South America, is located in the South Eastern area of Peru. The park area encompasses part of the Andean Department of Cusco and the jungle Department of Madre de Dios. Manu is a 2 million hectares (20,000 km²) protected territory rich in flora and fauna species found in a variety of habitats including high Andes, Cloud forests, and Lowland tropical Rainforests. This natural paradise is officially recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. In 1977 they designated Manu as a World Biosphere Reserve because it contains the best existing example of biodiversity in protected areas of Rainforest, as well as endemic areas of Cloud forest.

Most of the forests in the world have been altered by humans. Fortunately, Manu has remained intact and untouched by human civilization, which permits us to observe a variety of animals in their natural habitats, including: Giant Otters, Black Caiman, Jaguars, Spectacled Bears, Tapirs, Ocelots, 13 species of monkeys, and approximately one thousand species of birds.

Manu also contains 10% of the world's vascular plant species, including several species of figs and palms, as well as countless species of medicinal plants that scientists are currently cataloguing. A single hectare of forest in Manu can have up to 220 species of trees, while a hectare of temperate forest in Europe or North America may only have 20 tree species. The Manu National Park may be the most biologically diverse protected park on the planet. We offer our clients 4 different ways to visit this magical place, thus guaranteeing you a marvellously exciting and educational experience. The main difference between our programs and the others on the market is that ours offer you direct air transport both in and out of Manu
