Inka Jungle 4 Days / 3 Nights
ITINERARY

DAY 1: CUSCO- ABRA MALAGA - SANTA MARIA (L) (D): We pick up from your hotel 7.30am in the morning to the bus terminal and have riding until Malaga mountain pass until 12:30am and start at this time the riding on mountain bike for 4 hours until Santa Maria.

DAY 2: SANTA MARIA - SANTA TERESA (B) (L) (D): Early in the morning at 5.30 we will be ready to our first day treking by the jungle. The first three hours are gonna be steped, so we start early, and later easy hiking just crossing the forest by fruit plantation, coca plantation , crossing rivers, walking by inka trail and visiting some arqueological site. On afternoon after 7 hours trekking we will arrive to the Hot Springs and one hour later arriving to Santa Teresa village (1990m.a.s.l.).

DAY 3: SANTA TERESA- AGUAS CALIENTES (B) (L) (D): At 9am we start our second day trekking and finishing around 3pm in Aguas Calientes. Walking for 3 hours by dirt road and two more by the side of the train rail. This night we will have a overnight in hostel with private bathroom.

DAY 4: MACHUPICCHU-CUSCO (B): Very early we start our hiking to Machupicchu arqueological site and the chance to see the sunrise, later we will have a guiding tour for two hours, after you have enough time to visit the Huayna Picchu and other places. After we will meet with the rest of the group to drive by bus down to Aguas Calientes. In the afternoon, transfer by train to Cusco. Upon our arrival in Cusco at 8:30pm you will be transferred to the hotel. End of the services.               

What is not included:

  1. Breakfast on the first morning. Some hotels offer an early morning breakfast service.
  2. Lunch in restaurant in Aguas Calientes on day 4 of the trek.
  3. Entrance to the thermal springs in Aguas Calientes US$3.
  4. Tips.

What you need to bring/carry:

  1. A backpack with a change of clothes for the whole period of the trek. Recommended: T shirts, shorts and some warm clothes.  
  2. Rain jacket or poncho (plastic ponchos can be purchased in Cusco).
  3. Strong, comfortable footwear.
  4. Water bottle and purification tablets (Micropur are recommended and can be bought in local pharmacies in Cusco).
  5. Flashlight and batteries.
  6. Hat or cap to protect you from the sun.
  7. Sun block (sun protection cream).
  8. Insect repellent.
  9. Toiletries, towel and toilet paper.
  10. Selection of small snacks, chocolate, dried fruit, biscuits etc.
  11. Camera, plenty of film and spare batteries.
  12. Swimsuit (if you plan on visiting the hot springs at Aguas Calientes after the trek - entrance not included in price).
  13. You also need to bring your original passport on the trail and your student ISIC card (if claiming a student discount).

Options:  
(1)Vegetarian Meals.
We can provide vegetarian meals or cater for special diets with no extra cost. Just let us know at least 2 days prior to trek departure.
(2) An extra night in Aguas Calientes. Can easily be arranged. We can change the date of your train ticket to the following day, with additional to trek costs. You  need to advise us at least 1 month prior to your trek date.The price is US$20 per person with private bathroom and hot water.

(3)Payment details: We will require a non-refundable trek deposit of US$100 per person payable with in 2 days of BL Tours confirming your trek booking. The deposit is to be paid by Western Union.The remaining balance is to be paid in our office at least two days prior to your trek departure date.

IMPORTANT  NOTE: We can offer a US$18 discount to students with a valid International Student Identity Card ISIC and children under the age of 16 years old
